Story:
In my game the main character will be a Penguin called George, who is stuck on the out skirts of an ice cap. He has to escape from the melting outer rim of the ice cap, to get to the frozen safety of the Antarctic. As the ice melts around him he will have to jump from ice block to ice block, avoiding falling into the freezing water (he can't swim, as he was born with unusually small flippers!). He will also encounter hungry polar bears along his travels, who he will have to perform a spinning attack against in order to knock them out and avoid being eaten.
How to play:
Using attack moves and leaping across the melting icecaps, George must try to return to the safety of the Antarctic.
System requirements:
In this game you play as George the penguin. This game will be played on laptops or PC devices.
Techical requirements:
This game will be i n the style of a cartoon animation. George will be an animated cartoon character. This game will be accessible 24 hours on the internet on a PC device or laptop.
User interface - Controls for the game:
Left arrow - Move/ Dodge left
Right arrow - Move/ Dodge right
Space bar - Jump
Up arrow - Spin

Hungry Polar Bear.

Hi Rebecca, I really like the sound of your game idea! I think it will be really interesting. I like how your game has a story behind it. How you explain how the penguin can not swim properly because he was born with small fins. Remember the story behind the game is more important than the quality of it!! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHey Rebecca! I loved reading your Dundoc, your game sounds so cute and I can already see people getting addicted to playing this. I really like how you made up a little story for George. By the way this character sounds amazing I love the idea of a penguin centered game. The game itself sounds pleasantly challenging, I think anyone who plays this will keep playing until they get that little penguin to safety. What happens if the penguin falls into the water or if the hungry polar bear gets him? Maybe you could give him some sort of a power up or a boost to help him survive. I think it's great that George has some combat skills to defend himself against the polar bear enemies. The game controls are appealing as they're staright forward and it'll be easier to navigate your way through the game. The cartoon animation will be really well suited for your game, I can't wait to see George in action and the final game completed!
